“I am not a drop-out.”
“Disrespected but never destroyed.”
“My child is not a target.”

OMG I just fell in love with this ad!<3
I LOVE everything about this!
I am scared
And before you ask me why
You have to know I am not scared of you
Or even Us
I am absolutely terrified
of the possibility
that We may one day not exist
That my soul may possible have to
Find a way to sustain without you
Without the brilliance of your soul
The captivating nurture of your light
See I have come to conclude
I love you with parts of me
That only became present
When we allowed this love to be
When I shed my inhibitions
And you allowed your heart to breathe
It makes me frantic to imagine
The dislocation I Will endure
If this wonderful collection
of fulfilling spiritually cravings
that which makes Us, Us
Were no more
How weak of me to admit
My feeble state
But I must make you aware
Of My retched insecurities
The foulness they secret Will not let me slumber
The twisted things
Allow assumptions to
Rain like bricks on my psyche
Lacing barbwire
On my-esteem
Prancing about with their
Flaming feet
Leaving charred remnants of past indiscretions
I am blissfully brittle with fear
That my love may one day not be love enough for you
And still, as weak as I may be with apprehension of possibilities
That have yet to even reveal themselves
I am supremely content to wait and see such horror
Crushing White Supremacy - Part 3: The Gullah Wars (via humanformat)
YES!

Black history is taught like this: you started off as a slave, then white people felt bad and decided to free you, then civil rights legislation made you equal, and finally you achieved victory with Obama’s election. The end…. Of course, that is ridiculous. That is the White Supremacist version of black history. The end result of this mis-education is that black children are separated from their own people’s legacy and historical achievements.Everybody in the world has the right to draw inspiration from their own people’s legacy, and this right is robbed from black children because their history is actively hidden, distorted, and replaced with make-believe.

That awkward and semi-annoying moment when someone writes down your thoughts for all to see without even knowing you.
